🗺 The grand opening ceremony of the “JAC Motors Tashkent” plant took place in the “Yangi Avlod” Special Industrial Zone.

Tashkent City Hokim Shavkat Umurzakov attended the opening ceremony and emphasized that this project is of great importance for increasing the industrial potential of the capital, expanding modern production capacities, and creating new jobs.

✅ As part of the event, the assembly line for the first model of the brand manufactured in Uzbekistan — the JAC M3 — was officially launched. “JAC Motors Tashkent” LLC was established as a joint venture between China’s JAC Motors company and “Tashkent Invest Company” JSC. The plant is a project for the production of internal combustion engine, hybrid, and electric vehicles.

The total value of the project is 135 million US dollars. It will be implemented in two phases on a total area of 30 hectares.

In the first phase, investments amounting to 35 million US dollars were utilized, an SKD plant with an annual capacity of 10,000 vehicles was launched, and 100 new jobs were created.

In the second phase, it is planned to build a CKD plant with a full production cycle, increase the annual capacity to 30,000 vehicles, and create nearly 1,000 additional jobs.

⚙️ In the future, production of JAC M4, Sunray, JS8, RF8, T8, and T9 models is planned in Tashkent.

⚙️ This project will serve to develop high-tech industrial sectors in the capital, strengthen competition in the automotive market, provide the population with quality and affordable vehicles, and produce export-oriented products.
