Transport movement on the capital’s roads as of September 10: key indicators

🔺 The Tashkent City Road Traffic Organization Center continuously monitors traffic flow, congestion levels, and public transport movement on the capital’s streets.

📊 On September 10, a total of 1,514,915 vehicles moved on the capital’s roads throughout the day.
The number of vehicles moving on the capital’s roads during peak hours of the day:
— between 07:00 and 08:00 in the morning reached 254,906;
— between 18:00 and 19:00 in the evening reached 314,669.

🚌 Public transport movement

On September 10, 1,407,899 passengers were delivered to their destinations by 1,667 buses on 170 routes in 21,761 trips.

995,806 passengers were transported by the Tashkent Metro.

The highest passenger flows were observed at the following stations:
🔹 Chilanzar metro station — 52,858;
🔹 Buyuk Ipak Yo‘li metro station — 51,541;
🔹 Beruniy metro station — 37,742;
🔹 Chinor metro station — 34,997;
🔹 Olmazor metro station — 32,403.

🚦 Congestion situation

During monitoring by the Situation Center in peak hours of the day:

In the morning between 08:00 and 09:00:
— at 2 intersections (Sagbon–Qoraqamish intersection, P. Mahmud Street) the congestion level reached 7 points;
— at 8 intersections (Fargona Road, Choshtepa–Sh. Rustaveli, Gavhar–Sh. Rustaveli, Nukus–A. Qahhor, THAY–Chorbog, THAY–Choshtepa, Oybek–Shahrisabz, T. Malik–M. Ulugbek intersections) the congestion level exceeded 7 points.

In the evening between 18:00 and 19:00:
— at 3 intersections (Choshtepa–Sh. Rustaveli, Gavhar–Sh. Rustaveli, Nukus–A. Qahhor streets) the congestion level reached 7 points;
— at 7 intersections (Fargona Road, P. Mahmud Street, Sagbon–Qoraqamish, THAY–Chorbog, THAY–Choshtepa, Oybek–Shahrisabz, T. Malik–M. Ulugbek intersections) the congestion level exceeded 7 points.

Drivers are advised to plan their routes before setting out, take into account the traffic load at these intersections during peak hours, and, if necessary, use alternative routes.

Prompt measures taken

At the points where congestion was observed, in order to stabilize the traffic flow, the operating modes of traffic lights were coordinated and the green signal time was extended in the necessary directions. In addition, Road Patrol Service employees were involved at the necessary intersections to regulate traffic.

⚙️ Repair works

Utility organizations carried out works on 14 streets (Moyqurgon, Uzumbog, Qorasaroy, Osh, Muqimiy, Shortepa, Bogishamol, Chuqursoy, M. Yusuf, M. Ulugbek, Qatortol 1st dead-end, Oqqurgon, KHAY–Katta Darxon, Khonzodabegim streets) that partially affected traffic flows on the carriageway.

Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance taking these circumstances into account and, if necessary, to use alternative routes.

Violations formalized by the Road Traffic Safety Department

Control measures continue consistently on the capital’s streets in order to give priority to public transport, create safe and convenient conditions for pedestrians, and strengthen compliance with traffic rules.

On September 10:
— 9 cases of driving a vehicle on a pedestrian path;
— 17 cases of violating stopping rules;
— 32 cases of violating parking rules;
— 49 cases of driving in the “A” lane were formalized.

In addition, 85 cases of pedestrians crossing the road in undesignated places were recorded.

Also, on September 10, 3 road traffic accidents were formalized, in which 3 persons sustained bodily injuries. No cases resulting in extremely serious bodily injury or death were recorded.

Drivers are requested not to stop vehicles on pedestrian paths or in front of them, to give way to pedestrians at designated crossings, not to occupy bus stop areas, not to drive in the “A” lane designated for public transport, and not to obstruct the movement of buses entering and leaving stops.

Within the framework of road infrastructure renewal works:
— nearly 20,000 meters of road markings were renewed.

Traffic flow on the capital’s roads is being monitored in real time by the Situation Center.
